
Lead Wellness Coach - Onsite - Tulsa, OK
POSITION SUMMARY
As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Lead Wellness Coach performs care coordination, initial comprehensive health assessments, and direct individual/group wellness services with clients enrolled in an employee assistance program. Additionally, the Lead position is responsible for providing onboarding and training to assigned employees. Wellness Coach This position is also responsible for program implementation, administration, and evaluation. The Lead position also, and acts as a liaison between Bayless and the contracted client. This is a salaried position that reports to Director of Wellness.
Essential Functions
• Partner with supervisor/manager to provide training to assigned team members
o Help team members understand goals, process/procedures, and act as a resource to answer questions
o Provide information on relevant technology systems; Acting as point of contact for ongoing questions and inquiries
o Assist supervisor/manager with evaluating team member performance Provide routine feedback Compile documentation Coordinate and monitor completion of team members’ training plans; Complete and submit training checklist(s)
• Provide wellness coaching and health assessments via 24/7 employer assistance program
o Conduct regular appointments (individual and group)
o Establish trusting and positive coaching relationships
o Propose targeted lifestyle management strategies designed to address needs
o Create individualize treatment plans with the client and their natural supports
• Continually assess the needs and situations, providing adjustments in interventions and strategies as necessary
o Provide referrals and coordination of treatment within an integrated care model
o Assist with the coordination of care for referrals
• Create, update and access confidential patient information while adhering to HIPAA guidelines
o Verify patient information
o Perform routine data entry into various software systems within departmental deadlines
o Answer or return patient and provider inquiries
o Add information to appropriate software resource
o Schedule appointments within specified guidelines

Education, Certification, and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in related health field (e.g., nutrition, exercise science, nursing, occupational studies, etc.)
•NBHWC certified wellness coach OR Valid RN license in the state services will be provided; License must comply with applicable regulatory and payor requirements
- If hired without passing NBHWC exam, employee must pass within 1 year of the date of hire to maintain eligibility for the position
• Valid fingerprint clearance card and TB Screener
• 1-3 years’ experience providing behavioral health services (required); Experience with motivational interviewing (highly preferred)
• Ability to record client records and notes within applicable deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication, demonstrating professional communication skills
• Knowledge of effective coaching strategies and ability to translate into meaningful concepts for clients
• Ability and willingness to maintain valid and current licenses, certifications, and other applicable compliance criteria
Tools and Equipment Requirements
• Up to date with advancements in office tools and applications (i.e. phone, computer, printer, copier, etc.)
• Moderate use of Microsoft office products, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, and Teams
• The ability to use the internet, various web browser, and electronic medical record software is required Physical Working Conditions and Office Setting Description
• This position may be remote, hybrid or in-person based on the assigned department’s business needs.
o If designated as hybrid or remote, the availability of virtual workdays is subject to change based on business needs
• Some travel required to field locations to facilitate execution of responsibilities. Must be able to travel to locations other than primary worksite
o Driver’s license and valid insurance may be required when operating a personal vehicle
